SAFe® Release Train Engineer (RTE)

Orchestrate flow at scale. Learn to launch and run Agile Release Trains, facilitate PI Planning and execution, remove systemic impediments, and drive relentless improvement across teams and value streams.

Your RTE Success Roadmap

We start with the RTE role and servant-leadership behaviors, then make the ART concrete—cadence, synchronization, events, and roles. You’ll master PI Planning end-to-end, enable execution & flow with Scrum of Scrums and PO Sync, and use DevOps (CALMR) to accelerate delivery. We’ll connect execution to Lean Portfolio Management, run a full Inspect & Adapt (System Demo + Problem-Solving Workshop), and finish with a clear exam strategy.

Who Should Attend

Current or aspiring RTEs, Program Managers, senior Scrum Masters, Product Managers/Owners, SPCs, System Architects, and leaders responsible for ART outcomes.

Prerequisites

Experience with Scrum/Kanban and prior SAFe exposure (e.g., SAFe Agilist, Scrum Master, or POPM) is strongly recommended.

Trusted by SAFe® RTEs and Program Leaders

Real outcomes from practitioners who used our RTE program to run high-quality PI Planning, improve flow and predictability, and pass the certification with confidence.

The PI Planning playbook and facilitation drills were game-changers. We went from scattered breakouts to a clean Program Board and hit 95% PI predictability the very next increment.

Ethan Blake Release Train Engineer

The execution & flow module taught me how to use Scrum of Scrums + PO Sync effectively. WIP limits and cumulative-flow analysis cut our blockers and shortened cycle time by 18%.

Ava Mitchell Senior Scrum Master

Risk ROAM and the I&A workshop templates gave us a repeatable rhythm. We now leave every PI with clear owners, due dates, and measurable improvements—and I cleared the RTE exam on my first attempt.
